Considering an alternative to NASTAR?
Keep the racing experience. Gain more flexibility. You don’t need to use the NASTAR platform to provide the racing experience your racers are accustomed to.
A familiar scoring approach — on a platform that conforms to your program.
For clubs and resorts currently using NASTAR — or evaluating how they want to manage recreational racing in the future — Alpine Race Day offers a flexible alternative built to support a wider variety of timing systems, scoring models, classifications, standings, and race formats, while still providing scoring options that are familiar to you on the NASTAR platform.
Alpine Race Day supports everything from “beer leagues” to collegiate racing to D-Teams to Masters to non-Scored US Ski & Snowboard racing… and everything in between.
A growing community — on and off the platform
Alpine Race Day continues to expand its racer and league community and invests in meaningful platform enhancements each season. We’re also exploring ways to expand the racing community beyond the software itself, including co-hosted Regional events beginning as early as 2027and the potential future return of Nationals and Pacesetter Trials.
Alpine Race Day is designed for current NASTAR organizations that want:
- A platform with a structurally identical scoring approach to that of NASTAR
- A lower-cost results and standings platform
- The freedom to select their preferred timing software
- A mobile-friendly experience for racers and families
- Greater flexibility in scoring and classification systems
- Customized race results and season standings
- Standings spanning multiple leagues or series
- Custom start and run orders
- Support for diverse types of leagues and programs on the same platform

* Alpine Race Day pricing varies by organization and customization. Timing software is not included. The typical cost for timing software is $300–600 per season, depending on your needs. We can help you make a selection!
** Support for Vola and the standard FIS race file protocol are currently in our backlog. Note that Live-Timing capabilities are a function of the Timing Software itself and not Alpine Race Day.
*** Alpine Race Day calculates independent handicaps and team points using a linear interpolation methodology structurally identical to the approach used by NASTAR.
**** Real-time handicaps (the ability to announce handicaps as the race is being run) are not currently supported within the Open Race format as of the 2027 season.
Mobile-friendly results, the moment they’re published.
Race Results with PDF export — multiple result reports are available to use and all may be customized for your Club.
Athlete Profile — season history, handicaps, and where they’ve raced.
Don’t design your racing program around your results software.
Stop struggling with spreadsheets after every event. Choose a platform designed to work around your racing program.
Whether you’re running a resort race series, youth league, collegiate program, Masters competition, recreational league, a race format all your own, or all of the above, Alpine Race Day can help simplify results management while creating a better experience for your racers.
